After the invention of ChatGPT, everyone in the writing community is confused about the future of content and writers. No one can say for sure what the future holds for human writers and AI tool, ChatGPT. However, based on the current condition of ChatGPT content, many points are concluded, and I’ll discuss them one by one below that will provide an answer for “Will ChatGPT replace human writers?”.
There are many demerits of AI content generated by ChatGPT that indicate human content is not replaceable for AI tool, ChatGPT, at present. These drawbacks are:
Unoriginal content:
Many times, ChatGPT generates content that is plagiarised. This means such content cannot be used online or offline. Whether you require content for your magazine or website, the originality of content cannot be ignored and is a necessary feature of high-quality content that human writers or great human writers usually provide.
Objectionable word choice:
ChatGPT content sections indicate the choice of words that’s unacceptable. The tool doesn’t operate like a human mind, so it many times write content that has improper or incorrect word usage.
Shortage of fresh insights:
As ChatGPT doesn’t write content based on the real time data provided online, its content might show outdated information that makes its articles less acceptable for organisations like Google that always picks content having fresh data or information for its top pages.
Absence of emotional touch:
Currently, ChatGPT is unable to create content that can resonate with human readers emotionally. Yes, ChatGPT cannot engage its readers on an emotional level like a human writer.
Repetitive content:
ChatGPT doesn’t know how to write content concisely without repetitive information even with a detailed prompt. It many times provides content that’s too long with repetitive points for readers. Therefore, its users have to employ editors to make its articles to the point.
Creation of short articles:
For example, this AI tool cannot produce high-quality blog posts that have 1000 words or more than that. As we all know that usually blog posts that get ranked by Google on its top pages have such word limits, so its users can’t rely on this tool for lengthy blog pages completely.
Presence of false information:
ChatGPT can add false or inaccurate information in its articles by mistake that human editors have to remove if found to keep their content accurate and save their organisation from defamation.
Absence of creativity:
ChatGPT doesn't have the creative ability like a human writer to write articles involving creativity. Therefore, using it would not be a great idea for any type of article, especially for a fictional article.
Lack of contextual understanding:
The tool can't properly comprehend the contextual meanings of words. You can't expect ChatGPT to write that your heart is broken in an article where appropriate. AI writing tools, including ChatGPT, aren't programmed or trained to completely understand the context-based word usage of any language.
Incomplete research:
This AI writing tool cannot perform in-depth research like a human writer to create well-researched content. Therefore, no one can depend on ChatGPT for a fully-researched article.
So, that’s all what I have to share with you about “Will ChatGPT replace human writers?”. The drawbacks I discussed are enough to conclude why human writers still deserve to be hired for writing projects. This might be that ChatGPT could be further enhanced to remove some of the drawbacks discussed here, but certainly this could take a lot of time for ChatGPT, probably, centuries, to completely replace human writers. Hope so you liked my content. If you really like what I shared with you today, please share my piece with your connections so that they may know why human writers are far better than this AI tool, ChatGPT.
